Divine election humbles us [Eph. 2:1, 8-9]. Divine election gives us assurance of salvation, provides an impetus for missions and evangelism, and motivates our worship and service.
Divine election and human responsibility co-exist in Scripture. No one comes to the Father unless he is drawn by the Holy Spirit, yet the offer is to all to come.
