Phebe: Portrait of a Christian Woman

Speaker: Pastor Ken Burgess
Title: “Phebe: Portrait of a Christian Woman”
Scripture: Romans 16:1-2
Date: 05-13-18 Sun. AM

Description: The last chapter in Romans contains the most extensive list of Paul’s love and affection for other believers and coworkers found anywhere in his New Testament letters. It also provides insights into the lives of ordinary first-century Christians and gives an inside look at the nature and character of the early church. In this passage, there is a commendation of an otherwise unknown woman named Phebe. Paul introduces the believers in Rome to this very special woman. Pastor Ken shows 3 words that are used to describe Phebe, a godly Christian woman.
